For the past decade, Barbara A. Hunter has called Lake City home. As a self-taught Artist, Barbara has been painting with acrylics for five years and has recently taken up oil painting. With an outgoing personality and a knack for making connections, Barbara’s family jokingly says she could even make a friend out of a rock. She is an active member of the Art League of North Florida and volunteers at the Gateway Art Gallery where she exhibits her artwork. She loves getting to know the other local artists and always looks forward to the regular gatherings and events.
Outside of her art career, Barbara is an avid reader and enjoys traveling with her husband Keith. When Keith is not out playing golf, the two of them enjoy spending time at home with their precious Miniature Poodle, Lucy. Barbara is a true people person and loves to interact with others, always finding a way to make meaningful connections. Stop by the gallery and say hi!
