Embrace your artistic spirit at the inaugural Downtown Arts Stroll on Thursday, December 14th at 4 pm and explore the growing art scene in Lake City! Meander through the heart of historic downtown and explore the creativity of our community’s artists and artisans within the participating galleries and studios, including the Gateway Art Gallery, Blue Goose Studio, Beartree Pottery, and the Meditating Monkey Art Emporium. Arts-friendly local businesses are opening their doors for the festivities as well. You can meet various artists and experience their art at these establishments and learn more about how they foster art and culture in our community. Watch painting demos, kids can participate in hands-on art projects and meet the Grinch, grab a glass of wine and enjoy some live music, and get inspired while you stroll! The event is FREE and family friendly.
Be sure to grab your “passport” and map at the Gallery when you arrive (or download it here, print it, and bring it with you), and then embark on a self-guided walking tour to get your passport stamped at each of the participating establishments. Once you complete your passport, turn it in at the Gallery for a chance to win exciting prizes. We look forward to seeing you there!
