Hats Off to Mom, our annual Mother’s Day tea event, was a fantastic celebration of moms and motherhood. The decorations and vintage china were beautiful and added to the festive atmosphere. Attendees were treated to an array of delicious food and tea, which was served at the gallery where the event was held. Mini quiches, traditional cucumber finger sandwiches, cookies, and a variety of sweets were among the delicious items on offer.
Throughout the event, guests enjoyed table games such as TV Mom Trivia and Art Bingo, which added to the fun and interactive nature of the occasion. Additionally, attendees were entertained by Dr. Sheri Carder, who provided insightful information about the intricacies of tea in England and the history of tea around the world.
Jeanne Van Arsdall also read a heartfelt poem dedicated to moms, which was a touching moment that resonated with all in attendance. Door prizes were also awarded, including a beautiful watercolor painting by Jim Riley made especially for this event. The annual hat contest was won by Marlene Kenney.
Overall, the event was a great success, and all who attended had a wonderful time! Hats Off to Mom was a lovely celebration of the amazing moms and mother figures in our lives, and we were honored to be able to recognize and appreciate them through this event. Tickets were sold out a month before the event, so plan to get your tickets as soon as they go on sale next year!
