Thank you so much to all the artists who participated and to everyone who voted in this FUNdraiser and purchased art during the exhibit! It was a successful event, with several pieces going home with new owners, among them “Luna Moth” (stained glass by Katrina Browning), “On the Wing” (photography by Danielle Whited), and “Alligator Alley” (watercolor by Jeff Moore).

Prepare to embark on a visual journey through the diverse and mesmerizing world of Florida’s wildlife at our latest exhibition, aptly named “Florida’s Wildlife Wonders.” Showcasing the talent of our local artists, each piece in this exhibit offers a unique perspective on the vibrant flora and fauna that call Florida home.
From graceful manatees gliding through crystal-clear springs to majestic cypress trees inhabiting the Santa Fe River, each piece in this exhibit captures the essence and beauty of the Sunshine State’s wildlife and ecology. Whether it’s the intricate details of a butterfly’s wings or the serene stillness of a heron perched on the edge of a mangrove, every piece invites viewers to immerse themselves in the natural wonders of Florida (yes, even the giant replica of our native palmetto bug—an important part of Florida’s ecosystem!)
The Gateway Art Gallery cordially invites you to the opening reception of “Florida’s Wildlife Wonders” on Friday, April 19th, at 5:30 pm. This special event is free and open to the public, offering an opportunity to meet the talented artists behind the captivating creations while enjoying light refreshments and engaging conversation. But the excitement doesn’t end there! As part of a unique FUNdraiser for the Gallery, visitors will have the chance to “vote” for their favorite piece in the exhibition for just $1 per vote. This interactive voting process not only allows attendees to show their support for their preferred artworks but also contributes to the continued success and sustainability of the Gateway Art Gallery.
Voting will remain open until 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 25th, coinciding with the conclusion of the exhibition. So, whether you’re drawn to the vibrant colors of a tropical flower or the serene beauty of a river scene (or maybe you really love palmetto bugs—we won’t judge), be sure to cast your vote and play a part in determining the exhibition’s fan-favorite piece. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to experience the magic of Florida’s wildlife through the eyes of our talented local artists.
