Ready to try your hand at painting on location? On Friday, May 19, we’ll meet at the Gateway Art Gallery downtown, from 10:00 am – noon, to learn the basics of plein air. You’ll also see and learn John’s “impasto” knife painting technique. Then, on Saturday, May 20, we’ll meet on site from 10:00 am – noon to paint outdoors (location to be announced).
See below for a list of supplies you’ll need to bring. For the outdoor section, you might want a chair or stool, an umbrella, bug spray, and water, along with all your art supplies.
